In theatres now: Left Behind is an apocalyptic action movie starring Nicolas Cage and Lea Thompson, based on the New York Times bestselling novel by the same name.
In this movie, millions of people around the globe simply vanish without any warning. These disappearances cause vehicles (including planes!) to crash and burn. Fire fighters, police and medical workers everywhere are overwhelmed. And there is no one to help or give answers.
Suddenly, the whole world is launched into darkness and confusion.
Is this just the latest fanciful end-of-the-world tale, or could there be some truth to this story?
When Jesus taught about His Second Coming, He said: “In those days before the Flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the Flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left… So be prepared, because you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.” (Matthew 24:38-42).
The Bible clearly teaches that one day, Jesus is going to return to the Earth and take to Heaven those who belong to Him.
But the question is: When Jesus returns, will you be left behind?
The answer to that question can only be found in the Holy Bible – the Word of God.
Are you ready?
