One of my favourite annual series of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips that Bill Waterson used to do was centered around six year old Calvin’s letters to Santa Claus. Because he was a ‘bad kid’, he always feared he wouldn’t be able to get good gifts from jolly old St. Nick, and therefore, he would always try to come up with creative loop holes to be able to be bad, but also avoid the naughty list.
