This past Easter Sunday, our family had to say goodbye to our dog Cooper who had been a part of our family for about nine years. Cooper was a ruby King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Over the past couple of months, we had begun noticing signs of age – it was harder for him to jump up on our beds, and he was a little bit less active than he used to be.
For the past couple of days, he had been coughing a lot and having problems breathing, and on Saturday night he went to sleep and didn’t wake up again. Needless to say, there were a lot of tears in our household on Sunday. Today’s blog post is a little memorial for Cooper. We will miss you!
Every summer, our family goes camping – one of Cooper’s least favourite things to do. He was never much of an outdoor dog!
The bottom photo was taken with Cooper and our four kids about seven years ago.
