Why is it that we as a people in North America (the Western World in general) are never happy, no matter how many material possessions we have? I’ve been on mission trips to Mexico and Costa Rica, and although the people there may not have a lot of ‘stuff’, they are happy, satisfied and content.
The Apostle Paul said, “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.“ (Phil. 4:11-12).
Today, let’s choose to be thankful for what we have in our lives, amen?
