The Weekend Funnies – Wishing for Happiness

So what would you need to be happy?

Riches? Fame? More stuff? A life free from all worries, strife or problems?

Or can you be happy no matter what happens?

If you could wish for something that would make you happy, what would it be?

  1. Yesterday afternoon we had our van loaded up and off we went to spend the night out of town. At 11:30 pm we were back in our own beds…well, at least a couple of us were. The overnight trip could not be done because we left too late to get everything done in town that had to be done, so we just went to dinner with the girls and came home…frustrated. But, once we were back home, our girls goofed off, had fun (Katie was home from college), stayed up late, you name it. Essentially, what started out as a disappointment turned into a splendid evening. Now we are awake and ready to get back on the road to an airshow in Knoxville, TN. It’s all good.

Sometimes we can’t help when plans change; we have to work with the cards we are dealt. But God knows what we need and sees the road ahead, and who but Him knows what dangers could have been in our way? It better to just stay happy and content whatever may come.

Thanks for sharing, Anthony… that’s what I’m talking about! I think it was Chuck Swindoll who said, “Life is 5% what happens to you, and 95% your attitude towards what happens to you.” I choose to rejoice today!

Sweet picture! Reminds me of my cat, it takes so little to make him happy too 🙂 – Michelle
